Alhamdulillah, all praise is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Peace and blessings be upon His beloved Messenger (peace be upon him).
First, I seek protection from Satan, and I begin in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Kind.
Allah says: “He taught you what you did not know. Allah’s favor upon you is very great.”
Allah is our great Lord, and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is His Messenger. We are the ones who witness this truth and are grateful to Allah. All praise is for Allah, the Lord of those who have knowledge.
O Allah! You are on Your throne, but You know everything.
You see everything. You hear everything. Nothing is hidden from You in Your world.
Can anything be hidden when Allah does not hide it?
Millions of blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Dear brothers and respected elders!
Before I say anything on this beautiful and blessed day, I request all of you to send peace and blessings (salawat) upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
He is the one who gives from the fountain of Kauthar, the one who will speak on our behalf on the Day of Judgment, the helper of the poor, and the pride of Medina. Let us say it loudly with love:
O Allah! Send peace and blessings upon our master Muhammad, and grant him peace and mercy, O Messenger of Allah.
Dear audience!
The topic of my speech today is “The Knowledge of the Unseen – Mustafa (peace be upon him).”
So, I request everyone to listen carefully and quietly to what I am about to say. Let us begin after this short introduction.
Dear brothers and respected listeners,
The verse I had the honor of reciting means:
“(O Beloved), We taught you what you did not know. And this is a great favor of Allah upon you.”
This verse shows us that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was given special knowledge by Allah — knowledge that he did not have before.
Our respected Prophet (peace be upon him) was given knowledge of the unseen. The scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah have always believed that:
Allah’s knowledge is personal, eternal, without limit, and belongs only to Him.
The Prophet’s knowledge of the unseen is given by Allah, it is limited, temporary, and not from himself.
Even though there is a clear difference between the knowledge of Allah and the knowledge given to the Prophet (peace be upon him), it is surprising that some people argue whether or not the Prophet had knowledge of the unseen.
But the truth is simple: the word “prophet” itself means someone who gives news of the unseen.
In fact, there’s a famous event:
Abu Jahl, one of the Prophet’s enemies, once came to him and said,
“If you are truly a prophet, then tell me what is in my hand.”
This shows that even the disbelievers of that time believed that a real prophet must know something of the unseen.
Now, before we go further, please send salawat (peace and blessings) loudly to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa ‘ala aali Sayyidina Muhammad wa sallim.”
(O Allah, send peace and blessings upon our master Muhammad and upon his family.)
Dear brothers in Islam,
It is a fact that there are many verses of the Qur’an and Hadiths that prove the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was given knowledge of the unseen.
Now, I will tell you some stories from the time of the Prophet that show his miraculous knowledge — events where he told people things that were hidden or unseen.
These incidents made many disbelievers and idol-worshippers of that time accept Islam after seeing these miracles.
But sadly, today some people who claim to be believers, who speak about prayer and fasting every day, still doubt this beautiful truth.
May peace and blessings be upon the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Dear brothers in Islam!
Let me share with you a powerful story from our history — a moment that proves the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was given knowledge of the unseen.
This happened after the Battle of Badr. The Muslims had won, and the disbelievers who were captured were brought before the Prophet (peace be upon him).
The Prophet asked his close companions for advice.
He said: “O people, what should we do with the prisoners?”
Some companions said,
“O Messenger of Allah! We should kill them.”
Others said,
“Each person should kill the one who is his relative.”
But the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“I think we should let them go after they pay a ransom.”
So, that is what was decided. The prisoners were released after paying money.
One of the prisoners was Hazrat Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Now listen carefully:
Some people today call themselves Muslims, yet they deny that the Prophet had knowledge of the unseen. But this story clearly proves that the Prophet (peace be upon him) knew hidden things — things no one else could know.
Before going to the battle, Hazrat Abbas secretly gave some money (gold coins) to his wife, Umm al-Fadl. He said to her:
> “This is a bag of gold coins. Keep it safe. Don’t tell anyone. If I come back safely, give it to me. And don’t give anything to so-and-so.”
This was a private conversation between husband and wife. No one else knew.
But when Hazrat Abbas was captured and brought to the Prophet, the Prophet said:
“Abbas, pay your ransom and free yourself.”
Hazrat Abbas replied:
“O Messenger of Allah, I am a poor man. I have no money.”
Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Abbas! What about the money you gave to your wife before leaving? The bag of gold coins you told her to keep secret?”
Hazrat Abbas was shocked. He said:
“Indeed, a Prophet can even speak the secrets of the heart!”
He said,
“I swear by Allah, Who sent you with the truth! You are truly the Messenger of Allah! Because no one knew about that gold except me and my wife. And here you are, in Medina, telling me what I secretly did in Makkah. This is only possible for someone who is told the unseen by Allah.”
Brothers in Islam!
As I mentioned earlier, Hazrat Abbas was released after paying his ransom. But more importantly, something amazing happened — he accepted Islam by saying:
> “Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasooluh”
(I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.)
(Reference: Madarij An-Nubuwwah, p. 97; Zarqani, vol. 447)
SubhanAllah! SubhanAllah!
My dear Muslim brothers, did you see the beauty of this moment?
Hazrat Abbas, who had not accepted Islam before, embraced Islam immediately — why? Because he saw with his own eyes the knowledge of the unseen that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had.
May Allah bless Hazrat Abbas. Ameen.
This is why I told you:
Some people gain the light of faith by witnessing the Prophet’s knowledge of the unseen.
And sadly, there are others who call themselves believers, yet they still deny this beautiful truth.
Let us now send peace and blessings upon the Prophet together:
> Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa barik wa sallim wa salli ‘alayhi da’iman ya Rasoolallah.
(O Allah! Send Your peace, blessings, and mercy always upon Your Prophet, O Messenger of Allah!)

Brothers in Islam!
Now let me share another powerful story — this time from the explanation of Qaseeda Burda Sharif.
It is mentioned that the enemy of Islam, Abu Jahl, sent a message to a man named Habib al-Yamani, who was respected by many.
The message said:
> “Muhammad bin Abdullah has brought a new religion in Makkah. Almost everyone is following him now. His religion is spreading very fast. Please come quickly to stop this — or else our old religion will be finished. You have done many favors to the people of Makkah. They will listen to you.”
After receiving the message, Habib al-Yamani came quickly to Makkah. Abu Jahl welcomed him with great respect and told him everything.
But Habib al-Yamani said:
> “A fair decision can only be made by hearing both sides. I’ve heard your side. Now I want to hear from Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself.”
Abu Jahl became afraid but couldn’t stop him.
So, Habib al-Yamani sent a message to the Prophet (peace be upon him), saying he wanted to meet him.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), the Crown Prince of Medina, came to meet him — and Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) was with him.
As soon as the Prophet arrived, the whole gathering became silent. Everyone felt his great presence. There was fear and respect in every heart.
Dear brothers in Islam,
When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in the gathering, no one had the courage to speak.
The people were silent. It was as if their tongues were tied, and their souls had left their bodies.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) broke the silence and said gently:
> “Why have you called me here?”
At that moment, Habib al-Yamani finally spoke. He asked:
> “I heard you claim to be a Prophet. If that is true, then what miracle can you show me?”
The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him), the Knower of the Unseen, replied:
> “Ask for whatever miracle you want.”
Habib al-Yamani said:
> “Okay, I want two things:
First, tonight the moon is full. If you are a true Prophet, then split the moon into two parts.”
The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) raised his blessed finger and pointed at the full moon.
By the will of Allah, the moon split into two pieces — right there in front of everyone!
Then he pointed again, and the two halves of the moon came back together, perfectly as before.
This miracle shocked the entire crowd. Then the Prophet asked:
> “What else do you want to see?”
Habib al-Yamani said:
> “Yes, I have one more request.
I have a daughter who is completely disabled. She has no hands or feet, no eyes or ears. She’s a burden on me.
Can you heal her?”
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Go home — she has been healed.”
Habib al-Yamani rushed home, amazed and full of emotion. It was nighttime. He knocked on the door.
To his surprise, the same daughter — the one who had no hands, feet, eyes, or ears — opened the door herself!
She was standing, walking, and speaking clearly. And the first thing she said was:
> “La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasoolullah.”
(There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger.)
Habib al-Yamani was shocked. He asked:
> “Daughter! Where did you learn these words?
And how did you get healed?”
She replied:
> “Last night, I was sleeping, but Allah was awake and watching over me. I had a dream…”
Brothers in Islam!
Let me now share what the young daughter of Habib al-Yamani told her father when she opened the door, fully healed.
She said:
> “I saw a man in my dream — his face was glowing like the moon, and he had beautiful black hair. He said to me,
‘Daughter, we are teaching your father the Kalima (words of faith). So you should also become a Muslim and recite:
La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah (There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger).’”
She added:
> “As soon as I said those words, I was completely healed — both physically and spiritually!”
SubhanAllah!
My dear brothers, this is the amazing proof of the unseen knowledge and power of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Even though he was in Makkah, he could see a disabled girl in Yemen, hundreds of miles away.
Not only did he see her — he also healed her, without even being physically present!
This is the spiritual vision and power (ghaib) that Allah gave to the Prophet (peace be upon him).
And when Habib al-Yamani saw this miracle with his own eyes, he immediately bowed down in faith and love.
He recited the Kalima and became a true Muslim.

Brothers in Islam!
What a strange time we live in…
Long ago, this blessed miracle destroyed disbelief and polytheism.
But today, some people foolishly call this belief itself “shirk” (polytheism) — even though it was through this miracle that hearts were guided to Islam.
The truth is this:
History is full of such true events, but we don’t have enough time to mention them all today.
So before I end my speech, let me share one beautiful hadith (saying) of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
But first, let us all together send salutations and peace upon him:
> “Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa barik wa sallim.
O Allah! Send blessings upon our Master Muhammad, and grant him peace.”
—
Dear listeners,
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once said:
> “Indeed, Allah has shown the entire world to me.
I can see everything in it until the Day of Judgment,
as clearly as I see the palm of my hand.”
(Reference: Zarqani ‘ala al-Mawahib, Vol. 7, p. 234)
This hadith clearly shows that Allah has blessed the Prophet with such deep vision and unseen knowledge that he can
Brothers in Islam,
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) once said:
> “I see the whole world and everything that will happen in it until the Day of Judgment — just as clearly as I can see the palm of my hand.”
(Zarqani ‘ala al-Mawahib)
SubhanAllah! What a great and blessed statement from the Crowned Prophet ﷺ!
That’s why the Prophet is called the one with prophetic vision — because:
> “To his blessed eyes, all six directions, the world of opposites, day and night, light and dark, are all the same.”
Dear brothers and sisters!
What can ever be hidden from such a powerful and pure eye of Prophethood?
Let me remind you:
Our Prophet ﷺ stood in the mihrab (prayer place) of Masjid Nabawi and saw both Paradise and Hell with his own eyes!
And not just that — these blessed eyes have also seen from the floor of the earth to the Throne (Arsh) of Allah.
He has seen all of Allah’s creation, from the lowest place to the highest.
In fact, let me say it clearly:
If he has seen the One who created everything (Allah Himself), then how can anything else be hidden from him?
That is why Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi (may Allah have mercy on him) said beautifully:
> “And is there any unseen hidden from you,
When God Himself does not hide it from you?”
Millions of blessings and peace upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ!
—
Brothers,
In the end, all we can do is say:
> “We are only messengers — and all power is with Allah.”
And with love in our hearts, we send peace and blessings:
> “Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah.
May Allah’s mercy and blessings be upon you.”
